Argentini

Guido Argentini was born in Florence, Italy. Interesting thing is that he studied medicine for three years at the university of Florence. But, at the age of 23 he decided to turn his passion for photography into a profession and started to shoot fashion and beauty. Guido's photos focus on eroticism and beauty. All his photos have a very intimate feel to them. His latest work is currently coined the silver editions and the photos are amazing. For more info and photos click here

Hoops

Tom Hoops a very well known British photog with amazing pics in fashion and portrait. His pictures have a lot of intensity to them. Not usually a lot going on in the background of his photos. The focus is on the individual and the intensity of their eyes. The picture with the man with the knife through his cheek has me at a lost for words.
check out his work at www.tomhoops.com

advertising creativity

My focus today is on a non black & white photographer. I came across some pretty unique photos by Romain Laurent. One of the most prominent creative photographers. He is a French photographer and very well known for his photos and advertising work. He can be put in two catergories if you think about it, creative photography and advertising photography. He is definitely a photographer that should be checked out his work is so amazing creative and just compelling.

Aneta

Today I decided to focus on Aneta Kowalcyzk. She is a portrait photographer, but not just your average portrait photographer. They are not average portraits set against a plain backdrop. I also believe she is a fashion photographer as well and of course, :) , she specializes in black & white. Her color photos are also amazing.

Alin

Back in action :)
My internet is back up and let me introduce you guys to another photographer named Alin Ciortea. He does color and black & white photography. I really like the pic underneath of the little boy. I like that he is a small part in the picture but his presence is so large. Cause when you look at the picture, you see him first then you look around to see what he is looking at. I like the low angle of the shot the bottom of the frame starts right on the brick sidewalk and the top is the sky and building, seems proportioned perfect. And of course, I like the two images of the girls the one peeking from behind and the one called confession.

Daido

Daido Moriyama is a Japanese photographer and he is best known for capturing how traditional values changed post-war Japan. Moriyama captures the urban life of Japan and the unseen parts of Japan, well the parts people don't wanna go near. He captures all of this without any color, of course :). You know I'm a big fan of black and white photography.

infamous

Today I decided that I would do some research on pictures that have always crossed my mind and my path. My picture of the day is of Marilyn. I am such a big Marilyn fan and this is one of my fave pictures. So I had to look into who the photographer is.

Drum roll please::::: The photographer is Alfred Eisenstaedt. Come to find out he is also the photographer of another famous photo that always seems to show up everywhere.

Can you believe this two very famous pictures ironically by the same photographer. I was actually going to talk about this photo in a future post. Alfred Eisenstaedt was a German photographer and photojournalist he is well known for his candid shots though. Eisenstaedt had witnessed many things in his photographic life. He photographed a meeting between Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in Italy. He even photographed Robert Kennedy. He, himself, is an important part of history and I suggest that you look into his many historic and beautiful images.

Vega

Photo journalism at its best. Can you believe those two men are holding back what seems to be hundreds? And for what reason? the injustice in this world has me at a lost for words. But looking at the photographer,Omar Vega is quite exceptional. To be at this place at the perfect time is quite amazing. He actually won an award for this image. It says that he is actually based in South Florida at the moment but i think he originates from San Francisco. The facts are unclear lol but check out his great line of pics on his site www.thevegavision.com

Photos by:Jana St
olzer
Yet again another photographer I cannot find any info on :( Her work is really amazing and sort of eerie. I feel like they could be scenes in a horror film.I really like the one of the girl in the room seems that she is trapped and her imprint is left in every spot she has touched or punched. Her pictures are chilling.
Be sure to look more into her work.

Let me tell you what i know about the photographer who captured this amazing shot. Santosh Korthiwada is from Hyderabad, India. all his pictures take place in India. He has hundreds of photos and all of them are so intriguing. you should definitely look into him.

Shazeen Samad

Shazeen Samad feel like I should whisper it, lol. He did the photo that I put for my quote of certainty. I had to find out more about him. Funny thing is, I still don't know much about him. Seems to be no info on him that I can find. I found endless photos of his work and I mean what better way to have yourself explained but through your work. His name and photos seem to be enough to spark my interest and probably tons of others.

liquid

The person who has caught my attention at the moment is Stefan Chinof. He is a Bulgarian designer who also deals with illustration, typography, and advertising. the mixture of all these things create such amazing pieces filled with vibrant colors and movement. His liquid illusions are just brilliant.

.....

trying to figure out who to cover next....there are just so many possibilities.....hmmm....stay tuned.

Charles Ray

Charles Ray is a photographer, sculptor, and has even worked on films. I was just in awe with his work just because it is soo different. He was part of the Body Art Movement of the late 60's thru early 70's. His work is ahead of his time. His pictures are creative, odd, yet kinda creepy at the same time lol. I dont know what else to say I am just now a fan his work makes you wonder, "how does he do it?"
*wanted to add as well that Charles Ray is actually the body in that picture. You must check out more of his work hes sort of hard to find on the internet since they think you are talking about Ray Charles (sigh).

Zhang

I came across a really amazing photographer, whose vision is just so fascinating, she has such an interesting history. Her name is Zhang Jingna, born in Beijing, but was raised in Singapore. She started doing photography at the age of 18. She has won several awards especially in 2007. Mind you she was born in 88! Within 6 months her career has just boomed. I need to get on her level. But enough bout her the pictures truly speak for themselves!

emotion

This wont be my only blog about emotion captured in photography, but today I decided to start it off with Jill Greenberg. She has an exhibition called the "End Times". She is known as the "manipulator" because she provokes the children by taking away their candies or toys. Cruel I know lol, but the emotion that she captures within their faces is priceless. It is said that this series was created to portray her helplessness and anger that she felt about the current political and social situation, being Bush's re-election and the whole Bush administration as a whole. It is interesting that she used the children to portray her thoughts of society. Maybe somewhat genius.

"Women are not just there to be admired, they are there to be enjoyed." -Ellen Von Unwerth

Today i decided to focus on a German photographer named Ellen von Unwerth. She is well known for specializing in erotic femininity. Her photos are quite provocative yet absolutely sexy.

I felt inspired so I took a pic of my own I think Ms. Von Unwerth would be proud :)
